This plasma-cut steel fire pit is of a perforated furniture collection. A critical aspect of my work is found in professional design/ fabrication practice. Since 2012, I have designed furniture pieces, sculptures, and larger architectural elements and brought these into reality through my digital and analog fabrication practice. I commonly employ perforated folding in steel, testing the use of structural geometries to produce elegant designs that are self-structuring and easy to assemble. The tables, fire pit, shelves, and small desk items that I have designed are flat packable, yet robust. Larger installations such as the Halsell Stair and the 120 Wine Wall show the broader architectural scale application of these techniques.
